Hey everybody it's f*ckin Pikachu and--

whoops wrong speech.

Anyway, I've been gone for quite some time. I moved on to texture and vertex hacking Brawl instead of spriting, and sadly my skills in this art have more than likely died.

However I do not come bearing all bad news. Chaoxys and I have started to make a bit of a headway in this. I've been coming up with designs, and Chaoxys has been making base sprites.

We have a general plot down for OoSecrets as well, which is what our main focus is going to be for now.

This game is going to be the third part to the Oracles Series, having the Ganon fight in the end. Ages and Sesons will go in any order, but Secrets always comes last.

Basically it goes like this. Link's been sent to Librisula, a country made up of large and small islands. There, he bumps into a travelling artist: Farore, who is being accompanied by Impa. The two stick together for a bit before coming upon an injured traveler. He says that something precious of his was stolen and hidden in a secret cave. Farore, being kindhearted and helpful, opens her book to try and find such a cave. The traveler then springs to his feet and swipes the book from Farore, proceeding to remove a page from the book and ripping it up, then rips out a few more pages. Farore freezes and turns to stone while Link attacks the traveler, making him drop the book before he flees with the stone Farore. Impa tells Link that Farore was the Oracle of Secrets, who posseses the "Book of Reality," (name's still in the works) an artifact that can bend the fabric of the universe depending on what's written in it. The page that the mysterious traveler ripped up was Farore's page, causing her to lose her life force and turn to stone.

The synopsis of the game is getting the pieces of Farore's page back. Some of these details are going to remain hidden, but there are going to be two worlds to explore; one on Librisula, and one inside the Book of Reality, and a familliar looking character that ferries you around the islands.

Huzzah! for 2.0. I'm not sure if I have time to work on this, but I will take up...how about bombs...

Do you have a tutorial for this style? i might try the boomerang or something simple. I'm a horrible spriter but the style seems simple, so i'll give it a shot~

idk if he will need the boomerang because of the fact hes are going with mc style and mc has one but idk he might need one edited

it's minish cap esquee, not strict to mc (to my knowledge), example being [fish in space]'s post. :c

I edited Link's arms into a position for holding bombs. Also created a few variations of the bomb.

From here I will need to make edits for holding bombs in any direction.
How should I signify that the bomb is timing down to explode? Should it flash red or have the fuse burn down?

There are a lot of problems with this that I just went ahead and edited the poses. My edits are on the left, but honestly, I think you should just use MC sprites or do what Tuna suggested and use that unique style.

Actually guys, I'm really really sorry to come back in late, but SGG is helping out with a new style and Link. We can still try with the Minish Cap style if it doesn't work out, but from what I've seen I like the new style.

Keep in mind that this is still a WIP.

The logic behind picking a WW esque style is due to the fact that many of the enemies and characters in the oracle games look more themed to a toon style. I mean, we've got pumpkin headed ghouls and what not. Also not that this TLink has been restyled to fit Oracle Link.
