Short answer yes.
Alt. answer no but it shouldn't be a thing!!

Also I like the whole our kids aren't allowed to celebrate Christmas as I see Christmas trees going up before Thanksgiving.

Its funny because I do hear stories about how Christmas was banned from such-n-such schools.

While I may be Agnostic I do get annoyed when political correctness goes mad and people aren't allowed to sing Christmas carols at school.

People just suck sometimes with their self-entitlements. On a non-religious but still relevant note, there was a woman who flipped all sorts of shit and screamed at a little girl who was wearing a Penn State shirt about a week after the Penn State scandal came up.

Personally my biggest issue with with the "freedom of religion" *Only applies to Christians crowd. I'm all for kids being able to do things like pray in school or celebrate a holiday but only on the grounds that only specific religions or holidays aren't favored. Obviously not every Republican/Christian is like that but I notice a hell of a lot of unwarranted vitriol from them towards, say, Muslims.

And speaking of Republicans, this is just

Forget Politics, I love Herman Cain.
EDIT: This thread gets more traffic so I'm posting this here since we're talking politics sort of.

On the topic of Christmas: What happened to just singing for each of the major religions celebrating a holiday around that time? When I was in school, there was Jingle Bells followed right up with the Dradle song.

I think that regardless of religion or lack thereof, at this time of year we can all come together to understand the real meaning of the season and agree that the krampus is totally fuckin' badass.

RE: The New tSR Lounge - Gorsalami - 12-08-2011 07:02 PM

I don't care that much about the religion meaning of Christmas

tbh I like it not because Jesus was born that day or something, but more because my family gets together and throw a party, and have a great time with everyone. That's what I like in Christmas.
